Royal Brackla 14 Year Old 2009 (Cask 20617) - The First Editions is a Scotch whisky with an age statement of 14 years and an ABV of 58.1%. Royal Brackla distillery, established in 1812, is known for producing high-quality single malts and was the first distillery to receive a royal warrant from King William IV. This whisky is part of the First Editions series, which showcases unique cask selections.
Rich and fruity with notes of ripe peaches, honey, and a hint of oak spice.
Full-bodied with flavors of dried fruits, toffee, and a touch of citrus zest, complemented by a warming spice.
Long and smooth with lingering sweetness and a gentle oak influence.
A well-balanced whisky that showcases the fruit-forward character of Royal Brackla, enhanced by its higher ABV.

On the Cawdor Estate, close to Nairn in Scotland, lies the Royal Brackla distillery, a Highland Scotch whiskey distillery. For Bacardi, John Dewar & Sons Ltd runs the distillery. The fermentation process takes a while, the stills' lyne arms are tilted upward, the copper dialogue lasts a while, and there is a lot of reflux since the distillery is set up to produce and then collect esters. Brackla has a clean acidity in addition to its fresh, fragrant fruitiness, and it is this that enables it to cut through the strong flavors produced by the ex-Sherry barrel aging method that Dewar's has selected for its single malt releases.
