It's the second release in Compass Box's Myths & Legends series, aiming to challenge assumptions and biases (or, myths and legends) the surround Scotch whisky. Myths & Legends II marries two malt whiskies of different ages from the Glen Elgin Distillery. Aged in a variety of casks including American oak and refill sherry butts, the whisky aims to challenge assumptions made about the links between provenance and flavour profile. 4,446 bottles were released in July 2019 at 46% ABV.~ Master of Malt

Producer, bottler, and marketer of a distinctive selection of blended Scotch whiskies is Compass Box. Chiswick serves as the company's headquarters. American businessman and former Johnnie Walker marketing director John Glaser launched Compass Box Whisky in 2000. Jill Boyd and James Saxon are the blenders for Compass Box. The company's whiskymakers choose distillates from many of the existing Scotch whiskey distilleries, and the chosen whiskies are then combined and further aged.
