Kentucky Owl Bourbon dates all the way back to 1879, when Charles Mortimer Dedman founded the C.M. Dedman Distillery. Kentucky Owl was produced until Prohibition forced the distillery to close - and it never reopened. Fast-forward to 2010, Dixon Dedman decided to reignite the Kentucky Owl brand that was created by his great-great-grandfather many moons ago. The whiskey itself is made with casks sourced from various distilleries and blended by Dixon, and is bottled at cask strength, resulting in a full-bodied flavour profile. Kentucky Owl has impressed many already, and the wheels are in motion for a big ol' Bardstown-based distillery and visitors centre to be created. ~ Master of Malt
