Bushmills Distillery has added two new well aged whiskies to their core lineup. A 25 and 30 year old single malt are now the oldest offerings in the core offering. The Bushmills team is especially proud of these new whiskeys since the distillery is one of the few that genuinely has enough stock to regularly produce liquor this old as part of its main range. The limited editions of this series are the result of unique whisky experiments, which the overall goal of said experiments is to find and explore new flavours. Distillery founder Annabell Thomas utilised special yeast cultures to craft the Nc'nean Huntress 2023 Woodland Candy. In contrast to the previous year's edition which employed three yeasts, including a unique rum yeast, the 2023 Woodland Candy distillate incorporated four yeasts for the first time, including red and white wine yeasts. Highland Park Does It Again With Its Newly Released 4th Edition Of Its Cask Strength Series

On Thursday May 11th, Orkney-based distillery Highland Park, unveiled its new Cask Strength No.4 ahead of the distillery’s 225th Anniversary in September. This iteration is Highland Park in its truest form, it is not diluted nor chill-filtered. This No.4 release packs a punch at 64.3 percent ABV and provides a strong and flavorful taste. The majority of the blend is made up of first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak barrels, while the remaining ingredients are aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak barrels, first-fill ex-port hogsheads, and a few refill barrels.
